Description
The AT76C110 is a highly integrated solution for digital cameras. It combines a number of functions that are required in implementing digital cameras:
• Image data acquisition and capturing from either CCD or CMOS imagers
• Image display
• Image processing and image storing
• Overall camera management
• Control of general-purpose I/O functions
• Data communication
• Control of user functions
• On-screen display

It also provides a large number of interfaces that allow camera manufacturers to directly access a variety of devices that may be present in a digital camera.

• Serial communication ports for controlling other devices in the camera

The design is based on an ARM® microprocessor that controls the entire chip. A number of hardware resources, controlled by ARM, perform digital camera functions such as image DSP processing, JPEG coding/decoding, DMA access to SDRAM and video encoding. All these computation-intensive functions are implemented in hardware which can be programmed according to user specifications, thus allowing ARM to be free for other user-defined functions.

3 Description
The SN65LVDS315 is a camera serializer that converts 8-bit parallel camera data into MIPI-CSI1 or SMIA CCP compliant serial signals.
The device converts the parallel 8-bit data to two sub-low-voltage differential signaling (SubLVDS) serial data and clock output. Meanwhile the serialized data is presented on the differential serial data output DOUT with a differential clock signal on output CLK. Where The frequency of CLK is 8x DCLK input pixel clock rate.
The SN65LVDS315 supports three power modes (Shutdown, standby and active) to conserve power.

DESCRIPTION
The SN65LVDS315 is a camera serializer that converts 8-bit parallel camera data into MIPI-CSI1 or SMIA CCP compliant serial signals.
The device converts the parallel 8-bit data to two sub-low-voltage differential signaling (SubLVDS) serial data and clock output. The parallel data is latched in with the pixel clock input DCLK on the falling clock edge. The control inputs VS and HS are used to determine line and frame synchronization.
The serialized data is presented on the differential serial data output DOUT with a differential clock signal on output CLK. The frequency of CLK is 8× the DCLK input pixel clock rate.
Flexible printed circuit (FPC) cabling typically interconnects the SN65LVDS315 with the CSI-1 compliant receiver. Compared to parallel signalling, the SN65LVDS315 outputs significantly reduce the EMI of the interconnect.
The SN65LVDS315 supports three power modes (shutdown, standby and active) to conserve power. The TXEN input may be used to put the SN65LVDS315 in a shutdown mode. The SN65LVDS315 enters an active standby mode if the input clock, DCLK, stops. This minimizes power consumption without the need for controlling an external terminal.

This camera system has an image intensifier ( 18 mm dia.) coupled through a fiber optics to Hamamatsu’s CCD S5466. This provides ultra-high sensitivity.
Under a low light level region that requires a long time exposure time, this camera can acquire equivalent S/N images within a shorter period of time. Furthermore, the ultra high speed gating function (shortest gate time: 5 ns) and gate repetition function (maximum rate: 10 kHz) have been implemented.
