Description : Dot Matrix Liquid Crystal Display Controller/Driver

Description
The HD44780U dot-matrix liquid crystal display controller and driver LSI displays alphanumerics, Japanese kana characters, and symbols. It can be configured to drive a dot-matrix liquid crystal display under the control of a 4- or 8-bit microprocessor. Since all the functions such as display RAM, character generator, and liquid crystal driver, required for driving a dot-matrix liquid crystal display are internally provided on one chip, a minimal system can be interfaced with this controller/driver.
A single HD44780U can display up to one 8-character line or two 8-character lines.
The HD44780U has pin function compatibility with the HD44780S which allows the user to easily replace an LCD-II with an HD44780U. The HD44780U character generator ROM is extended to generate 208 5 × 8 dot character fonts and 32 5 × 10 dot character fonts for a total of 240 different character fonts.
The low power supply (2.7V to 5.5V) of the HD44780U is suitable for any portable battery-driven product requiring low power dissipation.

OVERVIEW
The SM5009 series are crystal oscillator module ICs that incorporate low crystal current type oscillating circuit to limit oscillator-stage current, so that they can reduce crystal current lower than the existing products. Since the oscillating circuit has oscillator capacitors with excellent frequency response and feedback resistor built-in, just connecting crystal realizes stable fundamental oscillation responding up to 40MHz. The SM5009 series are ideal for SMD type crystal oscillator using a strip-shaped crystal blank.

Description
The LMK0480x family is the industrys highest performance clock conditioner with superior clock jitter cleaning, generation, and distribution with advanced features to meet next generation system requirements. The dual loop PLLatinum™ architecture is capable of 111 fs rms jitter (12 kHz to 20 MHz) using a low noise VCXO module or sub-200 fs rms jitter (12 kHz to 20 MHz) using a low cost external crystal and varactor diode.
The dual loop architecture consists of two high-performance phase-locked loops (PLL), a low-noise crystal oscillator circuit, and a high-performance voltage controlled oscillator (VCO). The first PLL (PLL1) provides low-noise jitter cleaner functionality while the second PLL (PLL2) performs the clock generation. PLL1 can be configured to either work crystal oscillator with an external tunable crystal and with an external VCXO module or the integrated varactor diode. When paired with a very narrow loop bandwidth, PLL1 uses the superior close-in phase noise (offsets below 50 kHz) of the VCXO module or the tunable crystal to clean the input clock. The output of PLL1 is used as the clean input reference to PLL2 where it locks the integrated VCO. The loop bandwidth of PLL2 can be optimized to clean the far-out phase noise (offsets above 50 kHz) where the integrated VCO outperforms the VCXO module or tunable crystal used in PLL1.

Description : Serial real-time clock with 56 bytes NVRAM

Summary description
The M41T56 is a low power, Serial Real Time Clock with 56 bytes of NVRAM. A built-in 32,768Hz oscillator (external crystal controlled) and the first 8 bytes of the RAM are used for the clock/calendar function and are configured in binary coded decimal (BCD) format.
Addresses and data are transferred serially via a two-line, bi-directional bus. The built-in address register is incremented automatically after each WRITE or READ data byte.
The M41T56 clock has a built-in power sense circuit which detects power failures and automatically switches to the battery supply during power failures. The energy needed to sustain the RAM and clock operations can be supplied from a small lithium coin cell.
Typical data retention time is in excess of 10 years with a 50mAh, 3V lithium cell. The M41T56 is supplied in an 8-lead Plastic SOIC package or a 28-lead SNAPHAT® package.
The 28-pin, 330mil SOIC provides sockets with gold plated contacts at both ends for direct connection to a separate SNAPHAT housing containing the battery and crystal. The unique design allows the SNAPHAT battery package to be mounted on top of the SOIC package after the completion of the surface mount process. Insertion of the SNAPHAT housing after reflow prevents potential battery and crystal damage due to the high temperatures required for device surface-mounting. The SNAPHAT housing is keyed to prevent reverse insertion. The SOIC and battery/crystal packages are shipped separately in plastic anti-static tubes or in Tape & Reel form.

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
The M48T08/18/08Y TIMEKEEPER® RAM is an 8K x 8 non-volatile static RAM and real time clock which is pin and functional compatible with the DS1643. The monolithic chip is available in two special packages to provide a highly integrated battery backed-up memory and real time clock solution.
The M48T08/18/08Y is a non-volatile pin and function equivalent to any JEDEC standard 8K x 8 SRAM. It also easily fits into many ROM, EPROM, and EEPROM sockets, providing the non-volatility of PROMs without any requirement for special WRITE timing or limitations on the number of WRITEs that can be performed.
The 28-pin, 600mil DIP CAPHAT™ houses the M48T08/18/08Y silicon with a quartz crystal and a long-life lithium button cell in a single package.
The 28-pin, 330mil SOIC provides sockets with gold plated contacts at both ends for direct connection to a separate SNAPHAT® housing containing the battery and crystal. Description : Serial Access Real-Time Clock with Alarms

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
The M41T81S Serial Access TIMEKEEPER® SRAM is a low power Serial RTC with a built-in 32.768kHz oscillator (external crystal controlled). Eight bytes of the SRAM (see Table 2., page 12) are used for the clock/calendar function and are configured in binary coded decimal (BCD) format. An additional 12 bytes of SRAM provide status/control of Alarm, Watchdog and Square Wave functions. Addresses and data are transferred serially via a two line, bi-directional I2C interface. The built-in address register is incremented automatically after each WRITE or READ data byte.
The M41T81S has a built-in power sense circuit which detects power failures and automatically switches to the battery supply when a power failure occurs. The energy needed to sustain the clock operations can be supplied by a small lithium button supply when a power failure occurs. Functions available to the user include a non-volatile, time-of-day clock/calendar, Alarm interrupts, Watchdog Timer and programmable Square Wave output. The eight clock address locations contain the century, year, month, date, day, hour, minute, second and tenths/hundredths of a second in 24 hour BCD format. Corrections for 28, 29 (leap year - valid until year 2100), 30 and 31 day months are made automatically.
The M41T81S is supplied in either an 8-pin SOIC or an 18-pin (MY), 300mil SOIC package which in cludes an embedded 32kHz crystal.
The 18-pin, embedded crystal SOIC requires only a user-supplied battery to provide non-volatile operation.

Description
The M48T86 is an industry standard real-time clock (RTC). The M48T86 is composed of a lithium energy source, quartz crystal, write protection circuitry, and a 128-byte RAM array.
This provides the user with a complete subsystem packaged in either a 24-pin DIP CAPHAT™ or 28-pin SNAPHAT® SOIC. Functions available to the user include a nonvolatile time-of-day clock, alarm interrupts, a one-hundred-year clock with programmable interrupts, square wave output, and 128 bytes of non-volatile static RAM.
The 24-pin, 600 mil DIP CAPHAT houses the M48T86 silicon with a quartz crystal and a long-life lithium button cell in a single package.
The 28-pin, 330 mil SOIC provides sockets with gold plated contacts at both ends for direct connection to a separate SNAPHAT® housing containing the battery and crystal. DESCRIPTION
The CDCLVC1310 is a highly versatile, low-jitter, low-power clock fanout buffer which can distribute to ten low-jitter LVCMOS clock outputs from one of three inputs, whose primary and secondary inputs can feature differential or single-ended signals and crystal input. Such a buffer is good for use in a variety of mobile and wired infrastructure, data communication, computing, low-power medical imaging, and portable test and measurement applications. When the input is an illegal level, the output is at a defined state. One can set the core to 2.5 V or 3.3 V, and output to 1.5 V, 1.8 V, 2.5 V or 3.3 V. Pin programming easily configures the CDCLVC1310. The overall additive jitter performance is 25 fsRMS (typical). The CDCLVC1310 comes in a small 32-pin 5-mm × 5-mm QFN package.

The ICS8442I is a general purpose, dual output Crystal-to-Differential LVDS High Frequency Synthesizer and a member of the HiPerClockS™ family of High Performance Clock Solutions from ICS. The ICS8442I has a selectable TEST_CLK or crystal input. The TEST_CLK input accepts LVCMOS or LVTTL input levels and translates them to LVDS levels. The VCO operates at a frequency range of 250MHz to 700MHz. The VCO frequency is programmed in steps equal to the value of the input reference or crystal frequency. The VCO and output frequency can be programmed using the serial or parallel interface to the configuration logic. The low phase noise characteristics of the ICS8442I makes it an ideal clock source for Gigabit Ethernet and Sonet applications.
