DESCRIPTION…
The SP488A and SP489A are High Speed Quad differential Line Receivers capable of meeting the RS-485 and RS-422 protocols while running at five times the normal transmission rates. The SP488A and SP489A are enhanced versions of Sipexs SP488 and SP489 Quad RS-485/RS-422 Line Receivers. The SP488A features a common receiver enable control; the SP489A provides independent receiver enable controls for each pair of Receivers. Both feature tri–state outputs and wide common–mode input range. The Receivers have a fail–safe feature which forces a logic “1” output when receiver inputs are left floating. Both are available in 16–pin plastic DIP and SOIC packages.

The MAX3160E/MAX3161E/MAX3162E are programmable RS-232/RS-485/RS-422 multiprotocol transceivers. The MAX3160E/MAX3161E are pin programmable as a 2Tx/2Rx RS-232 interface or a single RS-485/RS-422 transceiver. The MAX3162E is configured as a 2Tx/2Rx RS-232 interface, and a single RS-485/RS-422 transceiver simultaneously.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The SP339 is an advanced multiprotocol transceiver supporting RS-232, RS-485, and RS-422 serial standards in a 40 pin QFN package. Integrated cable termination and four configuration modes allow all three protocols to be used interchangeably over a single cable or connector with no additional switching components. Full operation requires only four external charge pump capacitors.
