General Description
The MAX6956 compact, serial-interfaced LED display Driver/I/O expander provide microprocessors with up to 28 ports. Each port is individually user configurable to either a logic input, logic output, or common-anode (CA) LED Constant-Current segment Driver. Each port configured as an LED segment Driver behaves as a digitally controlLED Constant-Current sink, with 16 equal current steps from 1.5mA to 24mA. The LED Drivers are suitable for both discrete LEDs and CA numeric and alphanumeric LED digits.

DESCRIPTION
The STP08CDC596 is a monolithic, medium-voltage, low current power 8-bit shift register designed for LED panel display. The STP08CDC596 contains a 8-bit serial-in, parallel-out shift register that feeds a 8-bitD-type storage register. In the output stage, eight regulated current sources were designed to provide 15-120mA constant current to drive the LEDs.

MBI5026 is designed for LED displays. As an enhancement of its predecessor, MBI5016, MBI5026 exploits PrecisionDrive™ technology to enhance its output characteristics. MBI5026 contains a serial buffer and data latches which convert serial input data into parallel output format. At MBI5026 output stage, sixteen regulated current ports are designed to provide uniform and constant current sinks for driving LEDs within a large range of Vf variations.
