Utilizing the circuit designs perfected for recently introduced Quad Operational Amplifiers, these dual Operational Amplifiers feature 1) Low Power drain, 2) a common mode input voltage range extending to ground/VEE, 3) single supply or split supply operation and 4) pinouts compatible with the popular MC1558 dual Operational amplifier. The LM158 series is equivalent to one–half of an LM124.
These Amplifiers have several distinct advantages over standard Operational amplifier types in single supply applications. They can operate at supply voltages as Low as 3.0 V or as high as 32 V, with quiescent currents about one–fifth of those associated with the MC1741 (on a per amplifier basis). The common mode input range includes the negative supply, thereby eliminating the necessity for external biasing components in many applications. Quality bipolar fabrication with innovative design concepts are employed for the MC33181/2/4, MC34181/2/4 series of monolithic Operational Amplifiers. This JFET input series of Operational Amplifiers operates at 210 µA per amplifier and offers 4.0 MHz of gain bandwidth product and 10 V/µs slew rate. Precision matching and an innovative trim technique of the single and dual versions provide Low input offset voltages. With a JFET input stage, this series exhibits high input resistance, Low input offset voltage and high gain. The all NPN output stage, characterized by no deadband crossover distortion and large output voltage swing, provides high capacitance drive capability, excellent phase and gain margins, Low open loop high frequency output impedance and symmetrical source/sink AC frequency response.

This series of Operational Amplifiers offer 4.5 MHz of gain bandwidth product, 13 V/µs slew rate and fast setting time without the use of JFET device technology. Although this series can be operated from split supplies, it is particularly suited for single supply operation, since the common mode input voltage range includes ground potential (VEE). With A Darlington input stage, this series exhibits high input resistance, Low input offset voltage and high gain. The all NPN output stage, characterized by no deadband crossover distortion and large output voltage swing, provides high capacitance drive capability, excellent phase and gain margins, Low open loop high frequency output impedance and symmetrical source/sink AC frequency response.
