The C8225-01 is a Pulse generator specifically designed for NMOS linear image sensor driver circuit. The C8225-01 provides the driver circuit with a master start Pulse and master clock Pulse which can be preset by rotary switches.
The C8225-01 uses a quartz oscillator as the reference clock that delivers high-precision master start and clock Pulses. When a separate pin connector and socket are installed on the circuit board, the C8225-01 can be mounted directly on the C7884 series image sensor driver circuit board.

C5964 series is a family of multichannel detectors developed for spectrophotometry in the UV to near infrared range (up to 1000 nm). C5964 series device incorporates a thermoelectrically-cooled NMOS linear image sensor (S5930/S5931/S8382/S8383 series), low noise driver/amplifier circuit and highly stable temperature control circuit. It also operates from simple external signal inputs. The image sensor is cooled to a preset temperature (Ts=0 ˚C) as soon as the power is turned on. Should the cooler fail and the device overheat, the built-in protection circuit automatically shut off the power.
The housing is designed for compactness, yet offers good heart dissipation. Furthermore, mounting holes are provided on the front panel of the housing, permitting easy connection to a monochromator or other instruments

General Description
AMI Semiconductor’s AMIS-720658 (PI6058) contact image sensor (CIS) is a selectable 600 or 300 dot per inch (dpi) resolution linear image sensor, which employs AMI Semiconductor’s proprietary CMOS image sensing technology. The sensor contains an on-chip output amplifier, power down circuitry and parallel transfer features that are uniquely combined with the present-day active-pixel-sensor technology. The image sensors are designed to be cascaded end-to-end on a printed circuit board (PCB) and packaged in an image sensing module. Applications for the sensor array include facsimiles, PC scanners, check readers, and office automation equipment.
Figure 1 is a block diagram of the sensor. Each sensor consists of 344 active pixels, their associated multiplexing switches, buffers and an output amplifier circuit with a power down feature. The sensors pixel-pixel spacing is approximately 42.3µm. The size of each sensor without the scribe lines is 14560µm by 335µm.
