CDB6403
PCM Codec
The MC145480 codec is a +5V only PCM codec
with filter. It can be used in either µ-law or A-
law companding modes depending on the state
of the UALAW DIP switch. It is included to pro-
vide a far-end analog interface for Mode 1
applications.
When Mode 2 is selected for the CS6403 by set-
ting the CONFIG DIP switch to OFF, the
MC145480 is powered down with its serial port
outputs put into a high-impedance state. This be-
havior eliminates the need to cut traces to
prevent signal contention.
