General Description
The TMF8701 is a time-of-flight (TOF) sensor in a single modular package with associated VCSEL. The TOF device is based on SPAD, TDC and histogram technology.
FEATURE
• Small footprint fits in the mobile phone bezel
• Detecting central closest objects
• Within 5% of measurement (accuracy); no multi-path and no multiple object problems as for iToF
• Better accuracy detects reliably closest object
• Min. distance 1mm (black target)
• Max. distance 60cm
• No complex calibration
• Compensates for dirt on glass
• Improved accuracy over temperature and life
• Make better decisions
