1.1.2 XE88LC01 vs XE88LC01A vs XE8801A vs SX8801R
The XE88LC01 was the first version of this chip that was launched in 1999. It is not sold anymore. The
XE88LC01A has a new RESET pin function. The action of the RESET pin of the XE88LC01A resets the clock
registers too and creates an additional short delay. See the RESET chapter for more information.
The XE8801A is the same product as the XE88LC01A. Its name was modified when XEMICS was bought by
Semtech mid-2005. The SX8801R is the ROM version of the XE8801A.
